More About Jason Mudd

As a native Amelia Islander, I’m a proud alumnus of Fernandina Beach High School’s class of 1994 – the last class to attend the old high school and the new high school. Local author Rob Hicks published “Legendary Locals,” a compilation of Amelia Island residents, past and present, who contribute to the island’s unique character. I’m proud to be included among the likes of David Yulee and MaVynne “The Beach Lady” Betsch, two people who were influential in shaping our community’s history.

I’ve had the good fortune to walk the entire island with my wife, Tabitha, from the north boat ramp at Fort Clinch past the fort and pier to the south boat ramp on the Amelia Sound at the Heckscher Drive Bridge.

In my spare time, I enjoy morning walks on the beach with my wife, sports with my son, and the arts with my daughter. Giving back to my community is something I value, and it brings me great pride to watch our local youth enjoy skateboarding at our free community skate park, where I led the original fundraising efforts.
